  • We're dedicated to the ease and comfort of your session.

We can provide detailed verbal description of the facility, surroundings, treatment options, service menu, or techniques used upon your request. Please reach us by call or text at 443-353-0658 with any questions you would like to ask, or feel free to ask your practitioner at your appointment.

Booking can be completed on the online platform for those who utilize screen readers by navigating to the Appointments tab on this website. You can also book with us directly via call or text message at 443-353-0658. Please let us know if you have any additional accessibility needs or would like additional time surrounding your appointment to accommodate intake or facility navigation without cutting into your appointment time.

Intake forms are electronic to allow for use of assistive technology. Intake can also be completed verbally before your session time. When you schedule, let us know if you'd like to complete your intake verbally. All forms requiring a signature, such as the liability waiver or HIPAA forms, can be read aloud to obtain full consent before signing.

If you would like guided access into the facility upon arrival, through the facility during your visit, or out of the facility upon departure, we are happy to walk with you. Let us know during your scheduling if you would like your therapist to meet you in the parking area to walk with you into the facility.

Our suite is located in the rear of the building on floor 1, most easily accessible by the elevator in the parking lot underneath the building.

If you have any further needs, suggestions, or requests we are happy to provide.

  • We're dedicated to the ease and comfort of your session.

If ASL is your preferred method of communication, inform us before the session so that we can be prepared with some signs that will help us communicate with ease during your treatment. We are not fluent in ASL (as much as we would like to be, and certainly have it on our list of things to make efforts towards), but we want to be able to accommodate the communication of as many basic needs for your massage as we can in your preferred language. Therefore we will try to focus the signs we equip ourselves with on treatment needs, facility navigation, and comfort.

Paper, writing utensils, and devices to type on are also readily available for more detailed communication.

Intake forms are sent via email before the session if you'd like us to know anything additional about your medical history or accessibility needs. This also prevents any on-the-spot communication barriers in conveying complex medical topics or terminology when applicable.

If you have any further needs, suggestions, or requests, we are happy to provide. Appointments can be scheduled online on the Appointments tab of this website, or with us via the following contact info. We are able to take calls, communicate through your interpreting services, as well as communicate through text or email at 443-353-0658 and repose.reception@gmail.com . On the appointments page, you can also schedule a Free Consultation with a practitioner that can be completed via video call. Video call options with reception for your regular scheduling needs may also be available by request. Because we are not yet fluent in ASL, your practitioner may come prepared with a few signs, but will communicate best via talking, the chat feature, and gestures.

  • We are located on the first floor of the 50 Scott Adam Road building. Underneath the building is a parking lot with placard reserved, accessible parking spaces leading to the elevator. You do not need to use the stairs in the front of the building. We are close to the elevator entrance in the rear of floor 1 (suite 107).

Potential barriers: The elevator and restroom are smaller, and may not meet a full 60 inches in depth, which can affect the turn radius for some wheelchair users. In addition, the sinks have vanity cabinets which can prevent some wheelchair users from reaching the sink surface.

Accommodations for the above barriers: For massage and in-person services...

See the section below for transport chair options. Additionally, travel massage may be available for a practitioner to come to your home. Please let the receptionist know that you are a wheelchair user and would like to request travel massage from one of our therapists. The normal prices for travel massage include extra labor fees, but for accessibility purposes, these fees may be waived. Travel massage availability in all circumstances are dependent upon therapist availability and travel radius. Some of our therapists' health conditions do not permit the equipment-lugging capacity for travel services. If a practitioner is not available to come to your home, we will make all efforts to refer you to another safe, accessible travel massage provider.

For our other services such as energy work, coaching, somatic work, and corrective exercise....

Equivalent, virtual formats are available for all of the above services. You may schedule these services as normal on the appointment tab, or by call/text.

Transport chair or assisted entry: Let us know when scheduling if you need your therapist to transport you into the facility by transport chair or if you need your therapist to walk with you and support you from your car into the building. We may have access to a transport chair on site, but to ensure availability, please let us know when scheduling your appointment that it will be needed. Please call or text us to schedule, make this request, and let us know when you arrive so we can arrange to meet you in the lot below 443-353-0658 .

If you need extra time before or after your treatment to accommodate mobility needs without affecting your service time, please inform us by phone at the number above and we will reserve it for you.

Massage and bodywork service equipment: Before a service, we can adjust the height of our massage table or provide a step stool when needed. If a massage table is inaccessible, a floor mat is available for massage as well as a massage chair. Please text or call us prior to scheduling to let us know if you would like a session on the mat or chair. We'll need to know to bring it to the session and reset the room.

Any devices used to aid in mobility such as walkers, canes, or wheelchairs will be kept within easy reach at all times.

Upon request, your therapist can remain in the treatment area with you to assist in getting onto or off of the table if needed.

If you have any further needs, suggestions, or requests, we are happy to provide. Please call or text us at 443-353-0658.

  • The following addresses communication, decision-making in care and treatments, and accessible sharing of information for those with cognitive disabilities. The communication section also applies to clients who communicate non-verbally.

Clients with legal guardians or a power of attorney: Legal decisions in health and wellness care are made by the legal guardians and power of attorneys. We also believe in involving the client in whatever ways accessible and possible in the consent process, with simplified or concise explanations of care and asking for consent throughout the treatment in whichever ways would be beneficial and accessible. This allows us to preserve client autonomy in the ways that are possible. We adapt our communication methods, verbally or nonverbally, to client needs. Our method of care for all of our clients is collaborative between practitioner and client, and never directive. So in these situations we add the power of attorney or guardian into the collaboration process and work with them and the client together to come to the best decisions.

Communication: Standard verbal communication is not required for a session with us. We communicate by adapting to client needs and preferences. Depending on the client, methods of communication might look like spoken words, written words, drawings, assistive devices, gestures, or interpreting body language. We let the client lead in showing us their preferred methods of communication. This includes access to services, like coaching, that are standardly performed in a verbal manner. If a service type usually requires a lot of communication, for assistive device users, we may block extra time allowances to construct their responses during sessions. For users of other communication methods, we will adapt the session based on client-preferred methods and can provide additional time allowances for communication as needed.

Non-verbal requests to pause the session: For any of our services, especially massage and bodywork, we provide extra ways for non-verbal clients or clients prone to mute responses to revoke consent or pause the session. Either a gesture can be established beforehand, such as raising a hand, or we can provide an assistive device we call the Jingle Button. It is a small red button the client can press that plays a tune and lets the practitioner know the client needs the session to stop. The practitioner will then pause the session to check in on the client to assess if the session needs to stop or be changed to meet client needs. Please let us know before your session begins if you'd like to establish a gesture or use the Jingle Button.

Learning about our services:We try to make our website as accessible as possible in navigation and user-friendliness, and are always open to improving. Information about our services is available online, so clients can navigate it at their own pace. Practitioners will also explain any relevant information to individual clients and their healing journeys in sessions. Free Consultations are available if you would like to ask any additional questions to help you understand services and procedures before booking with us. To schedule a free consultation, click this link to go to the Appointments tab and follow the prompts on the scheduler to book a Free Consultation. You can also reach our receptionist by calling or texting 443-353-0658.

Forms and paperwork: If the client is legally responsible for their own consent, we can provide multiple options for understanding and signing paperwork. Otherwise, the power of attorney, guardian, or legally responsible party will be required to sign for the client. A liability waiver and intake form with health history are filled out before sessions. If a client prefers to fill out forms with the assistance of the practitioner, we can block extra time before the first session. Please let us know this is needed when scheduling your appointment. Physical access to sign these documents can be provided in virtual or pen-and-paper format.

To request extra time allowances for communication in your services, ask questions about any of these situations, or request any of these or other adaptations...

  • To accommodate a wide range of sensory needs, a weighted blanket, adjustable lighting, linens with different texture options, and ear-plugs to reduce noise are available.

The pressure and techniques during a tactile service like massage or reiki are also completely adjustable based on client needs. Many people with sensory sensitivities or on Autism spectrum do best with firmly intentional touch, but each individual is different. Reiki services can also be performed without touch. Practitioners will check in using the client's preferred method of communication.

There is no set music in the treatment room, so you can request any music/sounds, or no music as you'd like.

Sensory or comfort objects that you may bring from home like plushies, fidget objects, or any other sensory object are welcome during the session. We can also provide sensory toys and plushies in office.

For non-verbal or mute trauma responses, or "freeze-responses": The Jingle Button is a keychain that plays back a small tune when the button is pressed. It will be available in the office to hold during the session if requested. The Jingle Button gives you the opportunity to let your practitioner know that you need to pause the session to check in with yourself, and for us to check in with you on your needs with no pressure or rush to find words or other signals. Remember that you control your session- you have the right to pause or stop the session, or request adjustments at any time. Alternately, you may request to establish a physical gesture with your practitioner, like raising a hand, that lets them know you need to pause.

Trauma informed care: During any of the services we offer, we strive to create a safe space for clients to express the effects of their life experiences and trauma to whatever extent they choose to in order to release and heal. We do not ask invasive questions or require disclosure of information beyond what clients choose to express. We are happy to aid clients through trauma responses within our scopes of practice and skillsets, and make further referrals to a large variety of other healing options when necessary. Most importantly, we help clients create their own safety through preserving autonomy throughout sessions, providing safety and comfort aids like those above, utilizing informed consent practices, and empowering clients with access to relevant information regarding their care and healing. Our practitioners are always open to feedback and adjusting care to help clients create their own safety here. If you'd like to communicate with a provider before beginning services, please schedule a Free Consultation on the Appointments tab by clicking here. This will allow you to meet your provider virtually or on the phone before scheduling a session.

  • We strive to make sure our services are accessible for all body sizes.

Our massage table has a tested and manufacturer supported working weight capacity of 1000 lbs.

If you are unable to comfortably receive massage on a table, we are happy to find an arrangement that works for you such as seated massage, mobile massage, etc.

  • Massage therapists and the other professions here cannot provide diagnoses, but we know it can be difficult to get a diagnosis for complex medical situations. In most cases, we can work with symptoms before a diagnosis is obtained, and it is not typically required for your care here. Your practitioner will let you know on a case by case basis if a diagnosis or other intervention is needed before we can assist for safety reasons.

If you are searching for a diagnosis and need assistance: Provide us with all information that you do have. We will customize your treatment plan, and if needed or requested, work with you to build a network of providers who can diagnose. The notes taken after each session are valid medical documents that can be shown to other healthcare professionals. All of your information is confidential unless you request its release in writing. If you'd like to use your documents to communicate to other providers, you can fill out a release form to obtain a copy or have us send it to designated professionals of your choosing. Your voice will be heard here.

  • We have plenty of positioning options to give you a comfortable service. Despite it being less commonly shown in media, massage can be done side-lying, seated in a massage chair, seated in a regular chair, or on the floor on a cushioned mat. We can also adapt standard face up or face down positioning with various bolsters and supports. If you are uncomfortable, you should not need to remain in that position for the session. Let us know, and we will adjust the positioning, or provide support.

  • Note from Owner (Jonathan): As a gender-nonconforming person myself, I understand that our communities have unique concerns, and reasonably so. Let some of the weight come off of your shoulders in this space as we normalize ourselves.

Safe Restroom Access: The restroom at the facility is single-stall and gender-neutral.

Intake forms have space for disclosing pronouns and chosen names.

Staff Education: Our staff is always committed to learning more about others' diverse and intersectional experiences. Practitioners remain well researched in unique physiology affecting our communities to provide the best healthcare and advocation possible. You will be heard and seen here, your pronouns and relationship dynamics will be respected, and you will not be asked invasive and irrelevant questions during your session. We do our best to assist patients in finding safe practitioners in other fields as well to expand access to gender diverse, safe healthcare.

Prenatal Massage for Expecting Parents of Any Gender: Celebrate your parenthood without fear of being misgendered or facing safety risks or discrimination.

Our services are meant to be a safe space to cater to the unique needs of our community, and assist us as a collective in healing from the barriers we often face.

You are more than welcome here, you are honored and respected here.
