Our innovative approaches to…

Healthcare & Wellness

The methods we use like massage therapy, somatic work, corrective exercise, energy healing, meditation, and coaching are practical tools for great healing outcomes from physical symptoms, challenging emotions, and traumas. But most importantly, these methods allow us to meet you where you are. These techniques provide more than relief- they restore a sense of connectedness and humanity, repairing this integral need within our society. Many of these modalities come from centuries old medicines that have been used across the globe. Each service connects both client and practitioner with the traditions, histories, roots, and communities that have come together to make such intense healing possible, all while illuminating countless new paths forward.

The Spa

Our innovated spa services are competitively affordable, yet incomparably soothing.  We offer this to our local community in reparation of the commercialized wellness industries that frame the spa as a class-restricted luxury. By receiving clinical level care in a spa setting, we can build a safe haven for those with medical trauma. We believe some of the deepest healing can happen when we have the safety to surrender to rest, and approach the more active pieces of healing with renewed energy.

Owner & Manager

  •  I have had a lifelong passion for building community and helping others. I take inspiration from the obstacles I’ve overcome in my own chronic health journey, as well as so many of my loved ones living with difficult health conditions or disabilities. After spending years in the medical field, I find joy in helping clients with complex health histories build care teams and find resources to untangle their needs so they can find clarity, healing, and thrive. By thinking outside of the box and really taking time to listen to people’s needs, I believe way more is possible than the conventional healthcare system gives credit for.

I am also a Certified Mental Health coach. If you’re curious about coaching, click here to see my coaching profile which will help you determine if my style is compatible for your needs.

  • Some patients prefer to be treated by a male practitioner or female practitioner due to religious or personal reasons. In many ways I live as both, so for clients who are interested in choosing me as their practitioner that also need to make gender-based considerations, I offer the following information about myself so you can decide if this arrangement aligns with your needs.

I am a very androgynous person by nature emotionally, mentally, energetically, spiritually, and physically. My assigned sex at birth is female, but I am hormonally male and have had gender affirming procedures on the upper half of my body. I present in ways considered traditionally masculine as well as ways considered traditionally feminine. My pronouns are he/him or they/them.

My gender and other personal aspects of my life rarely (if ever) come up in sessions, as I keep my practice very heavily client-centered and honed in on each client's unique life experience. That being said, I have found my experience walking in both worlds to be helpful in adapting to the needs and presences sought by those relating to womanhood, manhood, and everything in between. As a practitioner, I tend to pull forward the pieces of my energy and self that align best and create safety within each unique client dynamic.

Some feel guided to choose practitioners based on assigned sex at birth, while others feel inclined to choose based on gender identity or expression. I leave that decision up to you as the patient/client. I will not be offended either way. I am comfortable treating clients of any gender as long as they are comfortable and respectful.

Some clients initially worry about accidental disrespect, to which I always reassure that this is like any other healthy practitioner/client relationship. Just view me as a regular person and professional. Our services will be focused on you. No special etiquette, knowledge, or actions are required for us to work well together. Simply refer to me by Jonathan and say he or they when referring to me in third person.

If you have any further questions or would like to meet me before scheduling a session, please schedule a Free Consultation with me. It is my honor to meet you.

Gail (she/her)

Gail is our volunteer receptionist, and she even helps us with our laundry. (She is also Jonathan’s mom!)

When you call our main number, you’ll reach Gail to help you with all of your scheduling needs, and to answer general questions.

She works by volunteer hours, so if we miss your call, just leave us a voicemail or send us a text and Gail or your practitioner will follow up as soon as we can. We usually respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet Our Collaborators

Our collaborators are amazing healers and personal care workers that own their own businesses, and share space with us inside of the Samara Healing Collective. Contact each of them directly at the info in their descriptions to book with them. Sometimes we can coordinate scheduling, so you can get back to back services if you’d like to visit us and them in the same day.
